Time spent looking for a parking space in Holylands is increasing carbon emissions

A recent investigation by the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs has discovered that the abnormal amount of time spent by residents in the Holylands trying to find a parking space is leading to adverse effects on local carbon emissions, with the department stating in their findings that in the heavily populated student area, emissions are 17% above the city average, with the time being spent looking for a car parking space being the primary factor for this increase. A local Fitzroy resident has told us how one of her biggest stresses of coming down to Belfast for the week is trying to find a space to park her car that is remotely close to her house. She explained how the parking situation in the area is getting increasingly worse.
