A third-year Law student at Ulster University has told us about their shocking and well-needed recovery from their depressive episode, an episode which they say has lasted throughout all of university. This sudden change in mood came about when their therapist simply told them to "cheer up".
At first, the student thought her therapist was silly and naive to think such a simple request would help her in any way but to her surprise, the unnamed Law student said it's the best she has felt in years. Her therapist also added that she should "try to go for a walk outside" to help further improve her mood.
