Student discount to finally be offered on parking tickets

After back-and-forth meetings between university unions and the local council, the council have finally agreed to allow for student discount to be applied by students who find themselves on the receiving end of a fixed penalty notice for illegal parking. This new move was hailed by students across the country, with many saying it was a well-overdue change that should have happened years ago, especially when considering the financial climate most students find themselves in throughout their time in university.
