A first-year student at Queen's University Belfast who wishes not to be named has expressed their irritation towards their recent discovery that their fellow students seem to find it impossible to remain silent in the designated silent zones in the McClay library. They have told us that staff are sometimes unhelpful and almost seem to appear unbothered by the fact students do not stick to the apparent strict rules regarding noise levels in the silent zones.
The unnamed student has described the zones as "everything but silent", explaining to us how noise levels are sometimes beyond a joke, with some students talking as if they aren’t even in a library.
