McClay Library to introduce subscription service for seat reservations

Queen's University Belfast has recently announced that in the coming weeks, they will be launching their subscription service for seat reservations in the McClay library after a "very successful pilot scheme" which concluded earlier this year. This service aims to reduce the number of unattended seats that are claimed by students who disappear for hours on end whilst reserving their seats with personal belongings. The university believes this is a much fairer approach to seat delegation in the library and has stated that at an hourly cost of £10, students "shouldn't have an issue with affording seats".
