Politician who hasn't worked in years says students "need to work more hours" to afford rent

A local Belfast politician has stated in a recent interview regarding increasing rent prices for students that these students "just need to work more hours" if they wish to afford the increasing rent prices that are being witnessed by students across all of Belfast. The recent statement was met with disgust from local students who are at the centre of the rent epidemic, with one student stating how it's unfair for him to say this about students when the local politicians in Northern Ireland haven't been working for several years now, all whilst receiving full pay.
