Landlords to reduce student rent if they look after the rats in their house

After a local meeting between a number of prominent landlords in Belfast, all of whom own several HMOs in the Holylands and a local wildlife charity, an agreement was made to urge locals who are living in the Holylands to begin looking after any rodents they find in their house, rather than killing them or having them professional exterminated. This comes after the local wildlife charity voiced its concerns over a continuous drop in the local rodent population, which they argue is a key aspect of the area.
